Fridge is warm, freezer is fine.
Depending on how fancy the fridge is, the evaporator fan, the damper door, thermistor, thermostat, or motherboard can be faulty.
Water is dripping out of the bottom of the fridge.
The evaporator drain is clogged causing water to pool up inside of the freezer. The drain needs to be cleaned out and, in some cases, upgraded.
The freezer is too warm.
Is there frost on the inside rear of the freezer? You have a defrost issue. Call our experienced technicians today!
Things You can do:
If your fridge is too warm, look for ice on the rear of the freezer compartment.
If water is leaking from your fridge, try and determine where it is leaking from? From the inside out? If you turn off the water valve supplying the water or ice dispenser, does the leak stop? How often does the fridge leak?
Optimal temps for the fresh food compartment are 38 degrees and 0 degrees for the freezer. However, twelve-thousand-dollar refrigerators will have near accurate temperatures. Please don’t expect that from budget models. A basic top freezer fridge can vary 6 degrees one way or the other.
Refrigerators kept in unheated spaces (garages) in the winter will stop functioning once the ambient temperature drops below 40 degrees. The fridge will return to functioning normal above 40 degrees.
