How it works
We have contracts with 4 local big box stores. When you buy a brand-new appliance from the big box store, they deliver it and take away the old one. Adaptive Appliances buys those old ones by the semi-truck full. So nothing came from an alley or sat outside. Each unit went from the customer’s home, to the store, to us. Occasionally we will get the Big Box Store’s return items, scratch-and-dents, and floor models. We also purchase Overstock appliances in large bulks. 95% of what we sell are Pre-Owned/ Refurbished Appliances.
We buy 500 appliances a month. Of those, only 200 are cost effective to fix. The other 300 units have parts removed to sell online and locally. We are a major source of parts for technicians. If we don’t have the part available, we can order it for you with a turnaround time of 2-3 business days.
All appliances are tested, repaired when applicable, retested, cleaned, and warrantied. All refurbished units come with a 30-day warranty. New units come with a 60-day warranty.

Delivery
We offer delivery through a third-party contractor. Deliveries are only available on Mondays. We would need your exact address for a delivery quote. Delivery fees start at $50. A delivery 30 min from our location would be $75 to the garage. A delivery 60 min away from our location would be $100 to the garage. Additional to get them inside. Large 36” wide refrigerators are an extra $25.

Pick-up
If you're picking an appliance up, please remember to bring rachet straps, a blanket to protect a unit if you’re laying it down, and a tarp to protect the unit from bad weather.
You can lay all appliances on their sides for travel. NOT on their backs. We will terminate the warranty if you lay it on its back. Too much risk of terminals grounding out against the metal backs.
!! You may lay a fridge on its side for travel. However, once you stand it back up, you have to wait 24 hours before plugging it in. Not 20, a full 24 hours! When you lay the fridge down, the oil in the compressor mixes with the freon. You have to wait for gravity to separate the two liquids. !!
